Trump Ally Issues Strong Warning to NY Attorney General Letitia James

A prominent Trump supporter recently issued a stark warning to New York Attorney General Letitia James, stating that any attempts to pursue legal action against the former president would not be tolerated by the next administration. The supporter emphasized that the new administration would stand firmly against what they view as politically motivated legal actions against the 47th president.

During an appearance on The Benny Show podcast, Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project—an advocacy group focused on conservative judicial appointments—voiced his concerns. Addressing James directly, he stated, “I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term.” Davis warned that this time, the administration is prepared to push back, suggesting that James could face prison for “conspiracy against rights” if she continues to target Trump.

Davis, a prominent legal figure and a rumored candidate for Attorney General or White House Counsel in a possible Trump administration, urged James to “think long and hard” before infringing upon the constitutional rights of Trump or other Americans. “It’s not going to happen again,” he declared, underscoring the administration’s commitment to protect what he described as the constitutional rights of its supporters.

This tension follows a recent statement by James, 66, who vowed to uphold the rule of law in the face of Trump’s potential return to office. Following Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, she noted her office has been preparing to respond, declaring her readiness to “use the rule of law to fight back.”

James’ legal challenges against Trump are not new. Earlier this year, she secured a $454 million civil fraud judgment, arguing that Trump, 78, had overstated his net worth to obtain favorable loan and insurance terms. Trump has since appealed the judgment, and the case remains ongoing.

In an interview with Newsmax, Davis speculated that a Trump-led Justice Department would have “little patience” for what he described as “Democrat lawfare” over the next four years. Citing 18 U.S.C. § 241, which prohibits “conspiracy against rights,” Davis argued that any attempts by James to pursue “political enemies” could be considered a violation of federal law.

Following speculation in a Wall Street Journal article suggesting Davis might serve as White House Counsel in a future Trump administration, Davis took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the rumors, humorously dismissing them with a quip: “No, thank you. I want to serve as the Viceroy.”

This escalating conflict between Trump allies and New York’s Attorney General reflects the broader political and legal battles that could shape the coming years, as both sides prepare for potential clashes in court.
