Sri Lanka scored 202 for five against Pakistan in First Test Match! At the end of the first day of the Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the guest team scored 202 for five wickets.
The first match of the series of two Test matches between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. On this historic occasion, PCB distributed memorial caps for the players, while strict security arrangements were in place.

After lunch, Sri Lanka’s first wicket fell to 96 runs and Karuna Ratna scored 59 runs for Shaheen Shah Afridi’s ball to LBW. Giri and Oshada Fernando scored 40 runs in the second wicket with Naseem Shah falling. BKG Mendis scored only 10 runs and caught Mohammad Rizwan on the ball from Usman Shinwari.
The fourth team of the guest team was bowled out for 127 runs and Chandi Mill bowled the ball to Mohammad Abbas for only 2 runs. The Islanders’ fifth wicket fell to 189, and Angelo Mathews returned to Pavilion on the ball of Naseem Shah for 31 runs. Due to bad light, the first day of the match ended prematurely and Sri Lanka scored 202 for five.
Incidentally in this match, all 11 players of Pakistan are playing their first Test at home ground against Sri Lanka. In the top order and openers, Abid Ali, Sean Masood, and Azhar Ali, while middle-order includes Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Harris Sohail Abbas, and Shaheen Afridi.
National team captain Azhar Ali said, “We have not played cricket in Pakistan for a long time. We have decided to play 4 fast bowlers after seeing the wicket. The difficult decision was, the Fawad Alim scholars are not included in the 11-member squad.
