According to Express-News, bad news has come for K-Electric consumers on the arrival of New year, NEPRA has issued a tariff adjustment decision of K-Electric for 11 months according to which NEPRA has to collect Rs 106 billion from K-Electric customers. Granted, NEPRA has issued a judgment for the period from July 2016 to March 2019.
An additional burden of Rs 18 billion has been placed on K-Electric consumers
According to the tariff, NEPRA has allowed Rs 106 billion from electric consumers, for which electric consumers have been approved to increase the cost of electricity by Rs 4 rupees 88 paise per unit. The rupee has increased from 81 to 17 rupees 69 paise per unit.
