Police arrested a businessman in Mumbai for allegedly forcing his wife to have ‘sexual relations’ with friends in the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra Shatra. According to Indian newspaper India Today, the Samantha Nagar police responded to the complaint of wife and mother-in-law of the arrested businessman. According to the report, the woman had registered a case with the police under Sections 376 and 376E of India under 354, AC and 506 and Article 34. Under these provisions, the woman lodged a lawsuit against her husband, such as ‘rap, sexual offenses, forcible intercourse, coercion to commit inappropriate acts, using force on a woman to commit inappropriate acts’. Police have arrested a 46-year-old businessman who will be produced in court next week following the woman’s complaint. According to the report, the woman told police that from June 2017, her business husband began forcing her to have sex with friends.
The woman claimed that her husband forced her to ‘have sex’ with several of her friends while her husband continued to have ‘sexual relations’ with his friends’ wives. Citing the same report, the Times Now reported that the victim was first asked to sit in the car with a friend on June 15, 2017, and the same day her husband’s friend raped her. While her husband continued to do inappropriate acts with his friend’s wife. The woman claimed that her husband’s friends had “touched her inappropriately” in front of her husband and they complained to her husband too, but they were told by her husband that ‘nothing happens’. The woman claimed that on several occasions her husband handed her over to her friends under the ‘Exchange’ program while her husband continued to have ‘sexual relations’ with his friends’ wives. According to the well-known newspaper ‘Times of India’, according to the victim, her husband’s friend once raped her in front of her husband and her husband recorded a video of the act by which the husband told her ‘Blackmail. The woman said that after constantly being forced by her husband to have ‘sex with friends’, she moved to her mother’s house and has been living with her mother since August 2019. The woman accompanied her mother and lodged a complaint with the police, after which police arrested her husband in action. On the other hand, the woman has also approached the court for divorce from her husband while the legal identity of the woman and her husband have been kept secret. It is not yet clear whether the others involved in the case are businessmen, but it has been confirmed that the man who forced the wife to have ‘sexual relations with friends’ was a businessman.
