The Home Department of Punjab has expressed concern over target killing, suicide attack or poisoning during the Islamabad camp on Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

According to Express-News, the Intelligence Center of the Punjab Government has issued a letter stating the possibility of a targeted killing attack on Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman during the Islamabad March of Independence March.

According to the Interior Ministry, they have been informed of a plan by the intelligence agency of a terrorist organization in which a planned attack on the Maulana, as well as a suicide attack in the crowd, is being planned.

In view of the threat, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been requested to make certain measures in regard to his security not to allow any person or vehicle approaching him without having to be regularly checked. To ensure proper speed during the trip, The places to stay should be thoroughly checked.

In a letter issued by the Home Department, it was also requested to keep close contact with the district administration and police authorities in the area and to conduct security consultation with them to avoid any possible incident or accident.
