International Students worry about being discriminated against and may lose ground upon returning to Australia
A second shock to the culture
Australian National University student An Do believes he will experience a “second culture shock” to come his way when the time comes for him to return.
“Not speaking English daily for two years has affected my ability to communicate a lot, so I will have to start from scratch again,” he stated.
“I do not know what to say when I meet my friends from the local area when I visit them once more.
“Another outbreak could plunge universities back into online mode and make it harder for our social life.”
