New York: US Congresswoman Rashida Talib has called on the Indian government to accept responsibility for human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir.
US Congressman Rashida Talib tweeted, condemning more than 40 days of lockdown in the occupied valley, tweeting, “I appeal to the Indian government to take care of human rights in occupied Kashmir. Accept responsibility for violations. Curfew and media communications should be banned in the valley to clarify the actual situation in occupied Kashmir.

Rashida Talib strongly condemned the cancellation of Articles 370 and 35A in the Kashmir-occupied Kashmir by the Modi government, saying that I strongly condemn the cancellation of Article 370 and Article 35A, which banned media communication in the valley. Yes, there is a widespread shortage of life-saving drugs and human rights abuses. The ban on media communication does not mean that Kashmiris are in contact with the Valley, not their family. There is a shortage of medicines and basic medical facilities are not available to the people.
