Fashion Trust Arabia Names Winners in the First Live Event Since Pandemic
LONDON -It was an extremely long time since it was announced.
After months of changing schedules, pivoting, and inventing alternatives to models, Fashion Trust Arabia hosted its third annual FTA Prize on Wednesday night at the National Museum in Doha, Qatar, and was the live event for the first time since the pandemic started.
The 2021 jury prize, which will aid emerging or established fashionistas from the region, comprised Carine Roitfeld Elie Saab, Francesca Afitheatrof Juergen Teller Moncler’s Pierpaolo Pccioli from Valentino, and Remo Ruffini.
Abloh has also arrived in Doha to inaugurate the mid-career retrospective of work in the Garage Gallery in the Fire Station. “Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech” on the first exhibition at a museum of his work that will be shown throughout the Middle East. The collection will be on display through March 31.
