ECP approves against PTI Daily hearing of funding case! The
Election Commission approved the opposition’s request for a hearing on a daily
basis for the party funding case.
According to Express-News, in the absence of the Chief Election Commissioner, two members of the Election Commission heard the petition on a daily basis in a foreign and prohibited party funding case against PTI. The Election Commission approved the opposition’s request.
The request of the opposition parties has been forwarded to the Chief Election Commissioner and members, since November 26, when the PTI party funding case will proceed on a daily basis.
It may be recalled that members of the Leader Committee of the opposition parties had also protested in front of the Election Commission office yesterday and demanded a daily hearing of the case against PTI. Running on, the PTI and its government will end if the decision is made.
It may be recalled that Akbar S. Babar, a devout activist of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, filed a case related to foreign funding in the ECP in 2014. Collected by companies and the money was illegally sent to PTI workers’ accounts.
