Rakesh Bharti claimed that he had prepared this script for a movie some time ago. He had Black Day and then in 2015 he also registered his script with the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association IMPPA. He said that since that day he has been working on his story and for that he approached many artists and producers and made them aware of this story but for some reason. Because of this, he could not convert the story into a movie. He said that he had also told his story to Fox Star Studios, the production house of the film ‘Champak’. When Rakesh found out that director Magnha Gulzar was making ‘Chhapak’ based on his story, he had made the film’s producers and The other team contacted but Rakesh did not receive any response from them after which they decided to submit their application to the Mumbai High Court. According to Rakesh’s lawyer, he demanded the same in his plea. The credit of one of the other authors of the film Chopak is also given to them and if this is not the case then the printing of the film will be prevented from releasing. Deepika Padukone is playing the lead role in Champak and the film will be released on January 10, 2020. The film is based on the story of acid attack victim Lakshmi Agarwal.
