Uber, an American company providing online travel services, has admitted that nearly 6,000 incidents of sexual harassment were reported in their cars in the United States within 2 years. Safety reports released by Uber in 2017 and 2018 admit that within 2 years, a total of 5,981 people, including drivers and passengers, were subjected to sexual harassment.

The report acknowledges that at least 18 people were also killed in the incidents of sexual harassment during the said two years. The company said that 19 to 18 people who died of physical harm during their travels across the United States between 2017 and 2018 were killed by Uber. The dead included driver and passenger, including male and female passengers. The report acknowledges that after every two million Uber rides in the United States, some woman is sexually harassed and in the meantime a passenger is forced to kiss or improperly touch her sexual organs. According to Uber, a passenger is sexually harassed and inappropriately molested after every 40 million rides. It is also acknowledged that Uber vehicles are the most troubling events and that after every 8 million rides, someone becomes the target of such behavior.
The report also acknowledges that most travelers suffer from sexual harassment, but also said Uber drivers are not safe from such acts. It should be noted that in the US, 31 million rides daily travel through Uber.
The online travel services company also acknowledged in the report that in the two years that followed, the company caused 97 accidents across the United States, killing 107 people.

Those killed in road accidents include Uber drivers and passers-by. The company has divided the report into 5 categories, including ‘rap, sexual harassment, and accidents’ and also claims that all reported cases of dangerous categories saw a 16% decline over 2016. The report also acknowledged that during two years, Uber had reported 450 rap cases across the United States, with more passengers being the victims. The report mentions that men and women are the victims of sexual harassment across the United States and that the United States has a higher incidence of sexual harassment worldwide. According to the report, 44 percent of American women and 25 percent of men suffer from sexual harassment at some point in their lives.
