According to a new study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on Thursday, over 140,000 kids have suffered losing a parent, caregiver, or parent since the outbreak of COVID-19 began.

It looked at the data from April 2020 to June 2021, measured the unspoken-about aspect of this pandemic, namely the extent of the trauma children who have lost their guardians have endured at home, even though the disease continues to affect adults.
